Brothers United. A tight knit group of academy players come up big

The FC Dallas U-16 squad defeated both the U-18 and U-16 Houston Dynamo Academy teams in Houston this weekend to advance to the Champions Division of the Generations Adidas Cup in March. They’ll be looking to play in their third championship final since the tournament’s inception in 2007.
The group defeated the Houston Dynamo U-18 team 2-1 on Feb. 12 thanks to goals by Jesus Ferreira & Beto Carrillo. The team went on to defeat the Houston Dynamo U-16s 2-1 on Feb. 13 with goals from Jesus Ferreira and Javier Barajas.The team went undefeated in its 2015-16 qualifying campaign at 5-0 and sit on top of the Central Region.
Last season, the U-16s advanced to the semifinals of GA Cup before falling to Eintracht Frankfurt on penalty kicks.
The Generation Adidas Cup serves as a tournament showcasing the top youth talent across the country and overseas. The tournament will pin the top two teams of each region from the qualifying campaign against each other as well as other international youth talent where they’ll compete for the Championship Division title.The remaining teams will compete for the consolation Premier Division title. FC Dallas participated in the 2009 and 2011 championship finals where they lost to D.C. United in a penalty shootout and to L.A. Galaxy 2-0.
The Championship week of Generation Adidas Cup will be held at the Toyota Soccer Center beginning at the end of March, running concurrently with Dr Pepper Dallas Cup.

Galaxy Academy advances
In what can only be described as a total dominating performance, LA Galaxy Academy 16’s beat Portland Timbers 9-0 today at REAL SALT LAKE. With the victory, the Galaxy clinches a spot in the International Generation Adidas Cup. #GACup
REGIONAL OPD TEAMS IN COSTA RICA

FRISCO, Texas (Via US Youth Soccer) – US Youth Soccer Olympic Development Program (ODP) teams from all four US Youth Soccer Regions have traveled to Costa Rica to compete in a round-robin style tournament against against Costa Rican club teams: Saprissa, Alajuela, Heredia an Cartago with games being played Feb. 12-17.
Players in the 2001 boys age group will have the opportunity to play in several of the stadiums that host these teams at the professional level.
BALTIMORE’S PIPELINE SOCCER CLUB REPRESENTED AT THE NATIONAL LEVEL
Baltimore’s Nick Long (right) and Cam Dawson (left) training in New Jersey over the weekend. Long who plays for Phil Greatwich at PIPELINE has been selected to NEXT GEN USA 14’s International Squad going to Bercelona, Spain. Dawson who plays for Zack Flores and Tommy Quaranta (winter outdoor) at PIPELINE has been selected to the NEXT GEN USA 04’s International Squad going to England. Both American squads will be facing the top academies in the world on their respective tours.
