SOUNDERS FANS STILL BELIEVE

After an 0-3 start, the most loyal fans in the MLS continue to believe their SOUNDERS will be in the mix for the Western Conference at the end of the season when it counts.  With 6 more call ups for various national team appearances, SEATTLE will continue to fight an uphill battle for the near future .  On the bright side, International star Hercules Gomez continues to train with the SOUNDERS.  He could be the spark that the club needs.  Gomez who was the latest financial casualty in Tornto would bring leadership that the SOUNDERS desperately need.

Gomez, 33, signed with Toronto last August and scored one goal in seven regular season appearances with the club. He made his MLS debut in 2003 with the LA Galaxy, and played 17 times that season on loan to the Sounders, who were then in USL.

He spent six years in MLS with LA, Colorado and Kansas City before moving to Mexico in January 2010. A member of the US team at the 2010 World Cup, Gomez stayed in Liga MX until last summer, when Sporting Kansas City traded his rights to Toronto, enabling him to sign with the Reds.

Gomez has 24 goals in 131 career MLS regular season appearances and six strikes in 24 caps with the US national team.
