London was buzzing with anticipation for tonight’s match between England and the Netherlands.  In the end, England fans left Wembley Stadium less than impressed with the home team’s performance in their 2-1 defeat.

Jamie Vardy scored in the 41st minute. The lead for England was only temporary.  Referee Lahoz awarded a  penalty for a Danny Rose handball early in the second half.  Vincent Janssen found the back of the net for the Netherlands squad. Luciano Narsingh scored in the 77th minute for the Netherlands.  That goal would hold up even after three minutes of questionable stoppage time was added.

The defensive continues to be an area of concern for England.  This past Saturday,   England and their shaky defense conceded two goals before coming back with the 3-2 Victory.  Tonight was no different.
