DC IMPROVES THEIR MIDFIELD DEPTH
In an attempt to get stronger in the midfield, DC UNITED signed Rob Vincent in a transfer deal from USL side Pittsburgh Riverhounds. Vincent currently leaves the Riverhounds as the team’s all time goal scorer with 24 goals. Vincent hails from Liverpool, England and Play his college soccer in West Virginia at the University of Charleston. He will not take up one of DC UNITED’S international spots on the roster as he has a US Green Card. Vincent has been training with DC United this preseason the last few weeks in anticipation of getting this deal done. Additionally, he had a trial with DC UNITED last year and the club is quite excited about what he brings to the table. Dave Casper, DC’s General Manager and Vice President of soccer operations had this to say about him, “he is a smart player who has the ability to create and score from wide midfield positions and his tireless work rate and professionalism excite us.”

Anything short of a trip to the 2016 MLS Playoffs will be looked at as another failing season. In Saturday’s contest, Mauro Manotos netted 2 goals. Erick Torres, veteran Will Bruin and Christian Maidana also scored for the Orange Crush crew in the lopsided contest.
