MLS Report…Pontius Shines in Philly

PHILADELPHIA 2, COLUMBUS 1

The Philadelphia Union came into this contest having never won at Columbus.  Enter former DC UNITED standout Chris Pontius.  All reports out of Philly are that Pontius worked extremely hard in the pre season and now that he’s healthy again, could be a force this season for the Union.  In this contest, Pontius netted both goals for Philly.  Another major problem with the Union has been at the goalkeeper position.   Not yesterday though as the UNION’S new man between the posts Andre Blake played an amazing match to give Jim Curtin’s squad a much needed victory on the road.  Mr Franchise, Kei Kamara scored the only goal for the COLUMBUS CREW.

ORLANDO CITY 1, CHICAGO 1

ORLANDO CITY continues their 8 games at home without a loss with their 1-1 tie with Chicago.  CYLE LARIN scored his second goal in 2 games for ORLANDO CITY.
