Gerrard Joins Soccer Media

Without a doubt Steven Gerrard is one of the  most easy-going players that I have had the pleasure of covering .  My first experience covering was during an International friendly tour.  Since then, I have enjoyed several interviews and meetings with the chosen son of English soccer royalty.  Now that he is stateside continuing his career in the MLS after a successful career with Liverpool, Gerrard is flipping the script and joining the ranks of the soccer media with England’s The Telegraph.  This is what The Telegraph had to say.

Telegraph is delighted to announce the signing of Steven Gerrard as a football columnist to bring his unique insight and authoritative opinion to the biggest standalone sport section in Britain.
Gerrard will be writing a series of columns, beginning this weekend with a preview of the Capital One Cup Final between Manchester City and Liverpool – a fixture in which he gave some of his most career-defining performances.
As a former Liverpool and England captain, Gerrard has been one of the leading players in English football for nearly two decades. He made over 700 appearances for Liverpool before moving to LA Galaxy in 2015.
His prize-winning career included two FA Cups, three League Cups, one Uefa Champions League, one Uefa Cup, and two Uefa Super Cups. He scored more than 120 goals in the Premier League and 40 in European matches, more than any other player in Liverpool’s history. He achieved 114 caps for England and was nominated a record eight times throughout his career as PFA Player of the Year.
