AN EMOTIONAL KAKA’ PLAYS FINAL MATCH AS A LION

Brazilian Sensation  KAKA’ has played his last home match  for ORLANDO CITY SC.   Standing with his children pre game, an emotional KAKA’ was brought to tears as the national anthem was winding down.   After the match, he was once again very emotional.  KAKA’ was named the  first captain for the ORLANDO CITY SC when entering the MLS in 2015.  Kaka confirmed last week he would not be returning to the team and has effectively played his last MLS and ORLANDO CITY SC match.

ORLANDO CITY SC has one more match in their 2017 campaign as they travel to play the PHILADELPHIA UNION next week but KAKA’ will not be traveling with the team for the season finale.   It remains to be seen what is next for the Brazilian legend but one thing is for certain, ORLANDO and the MLS were both better entities with KAKA’S contributions on and off the field.  He was a consummate professional and while he may have had some injuries and limitations in the twilight of his career, you cannot question his love for the game and his passion for the thousands who loved and cheered him on, in Florida and around the MLS.  This is hopefully not goodbye as many believe he will be back in some capacity in ORLANDO once he finishes up his career, wherever that may be.  KAKA’ truly has and always will possess the heart of a LION.  WELL DONE MY FRIEND.
